Show me another »Where can I get a simple wooden bed frame?
I have a metel bed frame with wheels, but I'm not to fond of the way it looks and would like a wood alternative. I've seen wooden bed frames in pictures, but never in stores. I'm talking about just the basic frame - not a head board or foot board. Just a base to set a mattress on. Something very simple and inexpensive. - I wasn't aware they are called "platform beds." The links did show me exactly what I was looking for, but shipping costs as much as the bed itself. But once I realized they are called, I looked up beds in the yellow pages, and, voila!, a store that sells platform beds where I live. Thanks!

- Why not go to a Lumber store and buy what you want and attach it to the metal frame. If you are not sure how to attach it, just ask at the store.
- that website shows a matt covered with a sheet, not bed frame.
try Goodwill, and any other store that handles old furniture or donated goods. -
- tc's right go get the wood and make yourself.What i seen in your link it wouldnt be hard to make.Besides it's not much more then what you have already.check out www.fingerhut.com
- try ikea. that store has tons of wooden frames to choose from and really cool styles too. check some of them out at ikea.com and click on the united states. i guarantee you will come across something you like at a very low cost.
