What formula? I'm looking at the measurements you have and have no clue - will assume the 80 is the length, 72 1/4 could be width but 58 could not be height as that would be almost 5 feet. If you take your length x width x height it will give you the AREA but don't know why you would want that. You should only be concerned with the length and width! Measure out your room and it's easy to lay out if you use 1/4" grid paper (you can find this on-line free). Make sure you mark where doors and windows are. Then measure whatever furniture you have in room and place that on the grid sheet. You can then see how everything will fit and if you cut out each piece of furniture on separate paper you can move around on the grid sheet to get the best look. Make sure you give yourself at least 3 feet between stuff to be able to move around comfortably - and don't cover up heat registers or air returns!
