Decorating bedroom-can i paint over wooden bed frame?
and also my wooden blinds? i want to paint these white and at the mo my bed frame is a dull oak. My blinds are a oak but unsure if these will take white paint?

Yes you can paint over it, if it's varnished, sand it lightly, then use a bin primer, that way you seal everything. Then just go over with the desired colour.

Use "Liquid Sandpaper".
It's not paper at all, but just wipe it on, let air dry, then wipe, and it prepares the surface for paint. You may need a primer brfore white finish.
Blinds will be quite a job. The slats may need a primer.

sand them down then apply primer,lightly sand down then undercoat,lightly sand down then gloss

Yes you can, go to your local DIY shop for details of how to do so properly and so it wont chip or fade away.

Yes - duck-egg blue is pretty and also very continental. I would use Matt paint whatever you decide.

Yeh but you will have to sand it down and apply primer otherwise it will look crap haha and that paint wont stick properly

yes have just painted over mahogany wood with good effect
