Show me another »Painting wood bed frame white, do i need to sand before primer?
I have a primer and have been sanding down the oak colour and have just stopped and thought, do i need to sand?

Yes, sanding provides "tooth" so that the primer will adhere to the surface. I suggest a light sanding on the primer as well for a nice smooth finish.

- You don't have to. However it will make the paint take to the bed frame better and will last longer than if you do not sand.
