Show me another »Why are some bed mattresses so thick?
I've seen mattress that’s 2 to 3 times thicker than my regular mattress, why is that?

In recent years the mattresses have been quite a lot thicker in order to give more support and comfort to the sleeper. You can purchase sheets that fit these mattresses as the regular fitted ones will not work.
